Arrows-Austin Game Postponed

Normally this is the time I would be posting my match preview. Unfortunately, the Toronto Arrows vs Austin Elite Rugby game has been postponed. Due to poor weather conditions in Texas, Austin’s flight was grounded. Austin’s staff was unable to find an alternate flight that would get them to Toronto on time.

The Arrows have said that a make-up date has not been chosen yet. Austin has bye weeks in week 13 and in week 16. The Arrows’ only remaining bye week is in week 17. This means that either the Arrows or Elite may be forced to play two games in quick succession. Additionally, the playoffs are scheduled to start the week following the end of the regular season leaving no time to make up the game at the end of the year. It will be interesting to see what date will work best for the Arrows, Austin, and MLR.

For any fans that had purchased tickets, the Toronto Arrows official statement stated that they will announce your options in the next few days. You can read the Arrows’ official statement here.
