UFC Vegas 14: Felder vs Dos Anjos Predictions

Source: Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC
The last time I was able to hop on here I was mourning the ending of another legends career coming to an end, but this time around I'm a little more joyous because the new main event we have now is arguably better than the old one originally slated. Don't get me wrong, I like Makhachev, but I'd rather watch my Irish brother fight - ten fold. Let's make some picks!
Rafael dos Anjos vs Paul Felder
I think we can all agree that this is a way easier matchup for RDA for the simple fact that he never really does well against wrestlers. While he won't be taking Felder lightly, the former 155 champ is probably breathing a huge sigh of relief knowing that the takedown defense will be put on the backburner. Although, RDA could be the utilizing wrestling once he feels Felder's power.
14 pounds in 4 days is tough, so kudos to Felder. I like him better on the feet, but will he be able to stop Dos Anjos from taking him down? I think he does. Weight cut aside, I just flat out like Felder's game better in this spot and I think he makes one more big push towards that elusive title shot. RDA has something to prove coming back down so this should be a hell of a scrap!
Prediction: Paul Felder, Decision
Abdul Razak Alhassan vs Khaos Williams
Everyone and their mom is expecting this one to end early and in a violent fashion. Alhassan is coming off a loss, but he showed flashes of what makes him so destructive as a fighter. Khaos (fucking unreal name for a fighter) is a man who loves to throw down as well. While I don't trust ARA after the first round, I think he can get the finish using that awesome power of his.
Can't lie though, it's a toss up between this one and the main event for the fight I'm most looking forward to. Would not be surprised at all if Williams spoiled the party.
Prediction: Abdul Razak Alhassan
Kay Hansen vs Cory McKenna
Hansen's victory over Jinh Yu Frey was just so goddamn impressive it has made a believer that she can be a real player at 115. She's bigger, stronger, and has better pedigree than her opponent McKenna (who looks a lot like Joey from Dawson's Creek). It's a tough draw for "Poppins" right out of the gate, but you gotta start somewhere I guess.
Prediction: Kay Hansen, 2nd RD SUB
Brendan Allen vs Sean Strickland
Strickland's stock has raised through the roof this last month with two wins in as many weeks. He's oddly calm in the octagon and I enjoy that aspect of his game but can he hold off Allen's wrestling is the question. This is really a pick'em fight, and as lame as it sounds, I usually air on the side of caution and go with the wrestler.
Prediction: Brendan Allen, Decision
